Protective Walls Give 30,000 sq-ft of Additional Training Space
BTI’s Protective Wall design was employed for the Navy on their Dam Neck Range, Virginia Beach, VA. Two walls – one 290-ft long and the other 324-ft long – were erected to separate a firing range into three lanes. The 16-ft walls were made with steel uprights and BTI’s SACON bullet absorbing concrete wall sections. The 2’x6’ SACON sections are stacked to provide the protective surfaces.
The range picked up approximately 50-ft of training space on each wall, as earth berms were not replaced when the berm material was remediated.
