Ballistics Technology International has been a leader in utilizing SACON® on ranges  to capture rounds in a variety of applications. As a backstop material for capturing  rounds, SACON® has unmatched performance and environmental capabilities.  Because the rounds are captured inside the blocks SACON® has become an ideal  material for lead abatement/mitigation on small arms ranges. Ballistics Technology  International specifically designs back stops for a range of weaponry to ensure  maximum round capture capabilities and lead mitigation. As an added benefit  SACON® does not burn allowing for night time range use with tracer rounds without  the possibility of fire. When the time comes time to dispose of the SACON®  backstops, worn blocks can pass the EPA's toxic leeching protocol and be disposed  of in a non-hazardous landfill. Replacement blocks are easily dropped into place  maximizing uptime and range utilization.

 Maximizing the ability of a range to capture rounds includes baffle and pillar  protection. SACON® by Ballistics Technology International can be easily integrated  into an existing baffle system or used as a stand-alone errant round capture system.  SACON® captures rounds up to a 25° angle from square making it ideal for baffles  on small arms ranges. Additionally, because SACON® is energy absorbing, the  energy from an extreme ricochet, would be absorbed by the material, lessening  negative impacts on range and targetry systems.
